Masjids and Ibadat Khanas of Alipur

Alipur is home to several historic and modern masjids and ibadat khanas that serve as centers of worship, community gatherings, and spiritual growth. These places hold deep cultural and religious significance, each with its unique history, architecture, and role in fostering unity and devotion. From the oldest Masjid-e-Jafaria to the newly established Maktab-e-Rasool-e-Khuda, these sacred spaces continue to be a testament to Alipur’s rich heritage and commitment to faith.

Masjid-e-Jafaria
Masjid-e-Jafaria is the oldest and most revered mosque in Alipur. It was built by Moulana Syed Mustafa Hussain in the 17th century. The mosque holds historical significance as the first to host the Imam Jumma Jama’at, led by Maulana Zaki Al-Baqri. Over the years, the mosque has undergone two major reconstructions: the first in 1980, and the second in 2018, which enhanced its capacity and facilities. With a seating capacity of 1,500 people, the mosque spans a vast area of 31,000 sq. ft., including a built-up area of 13,500 sq. ft. spread across two floors, and a spacious courtyard of 6,000 sq. ft.

Masjid-e-Zain Al Aba
Located at Mustafa Hussain Circle, Masjid-e-Zain Al Aba is a modern landmark in Alipur. The foundation for this masjid was laid in 2006, and construction began in earnest in 2019, culminating in its completion in 2024. This masjid was built to meet the community’s growing needs and serves as a central hub due to its strategic location connecting four major roads. The first Imam Jama’t, Maulana Syed Ali Raza Saheb, led prayers in March 2024, marking its inauguration as a vital spiritual and social center.

Ibadat Khana-e-Zainabiya
Originally built in 1982, Ibadat Khana-e-Zainabiya is a peaceful prayer space located in the center of Alipur. The mosque began offering namaz (prayers) in 2002, with Maulana Syed Ali Raza Saheb serving as the first Imam Jama’at. Over the years, it has become a symbol of devotion and community harmony. Today, it continues to thrive under the guidance of its current Imam, Maulana Syed Salis Raza Saheb.

Masjid-e-Al Qaem
Located in Mohammed Jafar Colony, Masjid-e-Al Qaem is a cherished place of worship for the residents of the colony. The mosque began hosting Namaz-e-Jama’at around 2002 and has since become a cornerstone for the community’s religious activities, including Deeniyat and other religious classes. Its current Imam, Maulana Syed Mohammed Hussain Saheb, continues to lead the congregation, ensuring that the mosque remains a beacon of spirituality in the area.

Maktab-e-Rasool-e-Khuda
Maktab-e-Rasool-e-Khuda is one of Alipur’s newer places of worship, established to cater to the expanding needs of the community. The first Namaz-e-Jama’t was held in November 2024, marking its official commencement.

Al Abbas Muslim Hostel
Established in 1998, Al Abbas Muslim Hostel has been a unique combination of a residential facility and a place for communal worship. It offers a dedicated prayer space where congregational prayers, specifically for the hostel students, have been held since its inception. Maulana Syed Mujassim Raza Saheb currently leads the prayers, ensuring that the hostel remains a place of spiritual growth and community bonding.
